Lirondo
Verdejo · Cantalapiedra Viticultores · Tierra de Castilla
"This month I want to take you away from reds: Lirondo is a Verdejo unlike any you have in mind. Vertical, saline and with a tension that hooks you from the first sip."
Lirondo comes from La Seca (Valladolid), made by Cantalapiedra Viticultores, a family estate working old bush-trained Verdejo vines organically with biodynamic practices. Fermented in stainless steel and rested eight months on its lees, with no time in barrel.
In the glass it is pale yellow with greenish hints. On the nose, green apple, pear and the herbal note typical of the variety. On the palate it arrives sharp, with lively acidity and a saline echo that cleans the palate. Excellent with our anchovies, tuna belly and sheep cheeses.

An unexpected gem
I didn't know this place and it was a lovely surprise — quiet, beautifully decorated, and great for a drink with friends. The interior terrace is a real winner. Thank you for looking after us, we'll definitely be back!
